I have been lax about posting, so I will try to add one or two today. We took Erik home and had great fun at Flaming Gorge (our annual 4th of July trip with family). Had a great time UNTIL....the dreaded trip home. Our second son (Mike - Christy's brother-in-law) got us a couple of buddy passes and was truly going to be a blessing (considering the cost of airline tickets these days) ANYWAY...........we got back to Salt Lake and left for the airport, went to our gate and waited - The airline had oversold (Now I undestand when you fly with buddy passes, you are on standby - when we had called the night before, there were ten seats left) We did not get on, nor the next flight, nor the next flight, nor the next flight....everything was overbooked and they downgraded the size of the plane that they were flying to reduce fuel usage. So, finally around ten that night, we asked young Carl to come pick us up. We woke up at 4 the next morning and went back to the airport to try again. NOTHING DOING!!! They said that we MIGHT be able to get on in a couple of days! Well, guess what, I was already awol from work, so I bit the bullet and bought tickets to get us home. Cost me almost 800 dollars. What a trip! We now know that we don't fly standby near a holiday weekend unless we are VERY flexible. EVEN SO, we are still very greatful to Mike for his generosity. He felt so bad about everything, but we knew what we were getting into, so we definitely are not upset with him, just grateful that he cared so much to try and help us . So here are some pictues from Flaming Gorge...Enjoy

It was crazy indeed. I am hoping for a MUCH better outcome in September! It was so much fun having you and even though we've gone to the Gorge three years in a row, there was not a boring day and it still seems fresh and new. Love you!
