This is our 4th annual 4th of July trip to Flaming Gorge. It is still beautiful and loads of fun. We have stayed the last two years in this great little retreat about 4 miles from Manilla Utah. Custom made log cabins with really special handmade furniture and accessories. Fantastic craftsmanship. We stayed one year in Lucerne, then the second year in the Red Canyon Lodge area- but the best is Twisted Timber Retreat (Renamed "Rocky Road Retreat").The river was not very rough this year due to the heavy rains, but it still had enough rapids to make it very fun.
