Fencing

Carl's brother came down and brought "Ernie"(the tractor) to help get the garden spot ready and some fencing moved around, and , of course, Lottie (the dog) was there to help all the way. It took just minutes to do the garden, but a few days to move the fencing. NOW, we will be able to put a few "critters" back there to help with the underbrush AND hopefully the coyotes. We are looking for a good donkey to help "guard" our place from the predators. They are known for their guardianship of goats and coyotes will not come around them! (When we were in East Texas this last weekend, I saw an ad for a spotted jack....wished that I had a way to bring him home..then we could be "Spotted Ass Acres!"...Reminds me of Colorado when our grandson use to love to go by a farm that raised donkeys and it's name was the Windy Ass Acres...he just loved to be able to read the sign without getting into trouble.) Anyway....hopefully soon, we will have some critters in the back........
Thanks to Terry & Carron for their wonderful help. Such a blessing to have such a great family!!!!! The garden is now partially planted and ready for our first CROP of the season. Oh yeah, just before terry disc'd the garden, we picked our last mess of mustard greens...YUMMY....so, new plants in the ground now...tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, squash and of course - WATERMELONS..... (the coyotes favorite!!)
