A Very Short trip to East Texas

Actually left on Friday around noon and left to come  back about 48 hours later. We met up with Terry & Carron @ Iris & Herman's house Friday afternoon and had some very delicious fried shrimp and oysters (along with the fixings). then on to Sandra's house to spend the night. Got up the next day, called Debbie (but she was busy for the day @ the ballpark) so went to help decorate the community center for the birthday party. I made my very first fruit bouquet. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, then Carl wanted to put his stamp of approval on it and added a few touches of his own. I think the decorators would call it adding more texture and earthiness to it (the bottom pic). Anyway, all in all, it turned out great. The party was was a success. We were entertained by a J-POP group called the Happy Project. Morgan (the birthday girl) auditioned for the group last year and was accepted into it and they have done quite a few performances and are booked into the summer this year as well. They are quite entertaining. Can't understand what they are saying, but it is cute. (Actually, if you stop and think about it - there is a lot of today's entertainment that you can't understand and it isn't even a foreign language like J-POP)
Go figure!!!!
Had a great time with family and looking forward to going back to photograph all of the beautiful foliage that is budding out. A little too soon for this trip, but did see the tulip trees and probably pears  and maybe a couple of plums...not sure....but it is STARTING..........YEAH......SPRING......YEAH........

The most beautifully wrapped present there! You and I have the same taste in a lot of things. Thanks again for coming all the way up here! It just means so much. I'm stealing these pictures, by the way. If you have any more, don't wait 15 years to show me and bring more tears to my eyes. ha!

Sure wish they wouldn't have forgotten the amp! It truly is a show when you can hear them over the mics!
