Spent the day with cousin Johnny Lindsey and one of his daughters, April and her husband Curtis. Had a great time walking about the property with pine trees and a little pond. After exploring, we went inside and played a new card game until midnight! It is called "Hand and Foot" - you play teams with nine decks of cards - loads of fun! A definite keeper in our reportorie of games.
Notice the chickens and roosters - can't seem to get away from them, nor do I want to! Love the looks of those little creatures.
Had great food while we were in E. TX - of course we had catfish from the "PIT", then Carron fixed everyone spaghetti and the fixings at her house. Visited with Iris at her house, got grapefruits at Debbie's (HASSON)(tons of fruit on that tree that she grew from a seed!). Stayed at Sandra's house and visited with Debbie (HENNIGAN)while she was at lunch from work. Neil and his kids, Madison, Savannah and Jackson are living with her while their house is STILL being repaired after Ike!
THEN at 12:01 midnight as the first day of the new year rolled in, David was sworn in as the new Sheriff of Tyler county! The legend and legacy continues!

Yeah, I thought that was pretty funny that you take more pictures of the roosters than you did of the people. Love the update and the blog frequency...keep it up!
