Deep sea Fishing trip

We just completed a very long day on the deep seas. Greg, our son, came from Colorado to spend a few days with us, so, we decided to go out on a charter fishing trip. We originally set up a trip for 10 hours, but when we got there this morning, we found out that it was changed to 12 hours, because of lack of interest for the 10 hour trip. We were put on the upgrade to 12 hours and off we went. We had three others from our branch go with us, and boy, did we catch fish! It was busy the entire time that we had hooks in the water. Unfortuately, it was a 3 hour trip out and a 3 hour trip back! Actual fishing time was 6 hours. We caught a TON of fish and I am not really exaggerating. I think it was a ton. There were certainly a lot of fish. CHECK out the pictures. We caught our limit in two different species. It was out of season for red snapper, so we had to release those and they were whoppers. We started out catching the vermillion (or as some of them were calling them B-line?) Then we got into the kingfish and we tore them up!!! We quickly caught everyone's limit and had to move our boat because they would not leave our hooks alone!
Then we caught more vermillion and some drum and a few (PLease forgive me, I am not a fish species officiando) umberjacks. Anyway, had a great time, even if we did not have anything to eat for twelve hours!!!!!(Sorry, could not go the 7-11 style sandwiches that they had for sale onboard and you weren't allowed to bring anything) So, everyone was ravenous by the time we got through. Here it is 10:20 and the guys are still out cleaning the fish. Don't know where we are going to put the fish, but what a problem to have. Anyway, had a great time with Greg and he had a good time with everyone and did extremely well fishing.
Not something that I would want to do all of the time merely because of the long ride to and from the fishing spots in the Gulf, but definitely one that we will do again.

Those is literally a "boat load" of fish. And some of them are massive. Did Greg and Dad catch some "big" ones?
