More garden

Carl needed to let a couple of squash get really big so that he could harvest seeds for next year. WOW, those babies are huge! He can't even get his hand around them and they are heavy also.

We also had our first watermelon from the patch last night. It was so good and sweet. Wish you all could have been here, but we will have plenty more to come. Looks like a bumper crop this year. (No coyotes, so far, but we still have the raccoons and skunks.)

So far, I have put up 12 quarts of tomatoes, 8 quarts of peas, and had MANY meals of green beans, squash, tomatoes, salsa, etc. We have shared many , many tomatoes, beans and squash with friends and even strangers......it's been fun...and to think that this is just the beginning! Can;t wait for the corn, though. That will be sooooooooooooooo good!
