Pinchers

Finally remembered that we wanted to try a different restaurant on one of our trips into Houston. It is the Pinchers restaurant in El Campo on Hwy 59. So when we went Thursday on a quick trip into Houston, we were leaving  just in time to be there for our evening meal. So, we stopped.  They serve cajun food. The atmosphere is really great and the food is good as well. Even the prices are decent. Service was excellent. Carl & I just love to try different places as we travel. Now all we need is our own tv crew to travel with us and we can have our own program on television. (Now that's an idea....travel and food AND someone else pays for it!!!) Bummer, they already have several of those programs on , don't they?
Anyway, Carl had the cajun boil which was crawfish, shrimp, sausage, red potatoes and corn all boiled in cajun hot spices ($16.99 ???). I had the fried catfish , child's plate ($4.99). So $22.00 not too bad!

Out front was a nice pond with ducks, chickens, turtles and places to sit and watch. The kids that were there were having a great time feeding the ducks and watching them swim all over the place. Some cute ducks and some strange looking ducks.
